Pastor Al and Chrissy Toledo visited the great city of Chicago for a time of rest, when God placed a strong burden in their hearts for this city.  In 2002 they took a step of faith, knowing God had work for them to do, and moved their family of five from New York City to the north side of Chicago. Shortly thereafter, Pastor Al Toledo was asked to preach for a group of people that desired to see a church launched, but were without a pastor at the time. Chicago Tabernacle was born.  This group of about 35 people embraced the vision that God placed in the hearts of the Toledo family,  and began to pray that He would provide a building. Following a wonderful prayer meeting, God began to do a series of miracles for the church.  Within seven days, He provided the finances as well as a building for the Chicago Tabernacle. Over the years, the Lord has continued to do miracles, the greatest being the ones in peoples lives.  With an emphasis on prayer and serving others into greatness, God has united a group of people from all walks of life and cultural backgrounds that are experiencing the love of God at work in their daily lives.
